Jay Heirshberg joined Investcorp in January 2023 as a Principal, following the firm’s acquisition of Marble Point Credit Management, where he had spent six years as a senior credit analyst. Prior to Marble Point, Jay was a Principal with American Capital, Ltd., where he was responsible for coverage of the Chemicals, Oil & Gas and Utility sectors. He was a member of the Investment Committee of American Capital Leveraged Finance Management, LLC and a Vice President of American Capital Senior Floating, Ltd., a publicly traded closed-end fund.

Prior to American Capital, Jay was a Vice President in the Leveraged Finance Group of Siemens Financial Services, where he underwrote middle market leveraged loans, as well as project financings, in the US, Europe and Australia. Jay began his career in leveraged finance at BNP Paribas’ Merchant Banking Group, providing minority equity investments and debt financing in support of private equity sponsored deals.

Jay holds a B.A. with Honors in Economics from Brown University and a M.B.A. from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
