Investcorp, a global provider and manager of alternative investment products, is delighted to announce that Nemir Kirdar, its founder, Executive Chairman and CEO, has been recognised by Euromoney, a leading international publication, with its Award for Outstanding Contribution to Financial Services in the Middle East.
This prestigious award recognizes banking leaders in the region who have made significant contributions to the Middle East’s financial services industry over the years. The award was formally presented to Mr. Kirdar by Euromoney Editor, Clive Horwood, during a special award ceremony held in Dubai and was attended by a select group of guests which included government officials, senior bankers and business leaders from across the region as well as key representatives of the international and regional media.
Accepting the award, Mr Kirdar said: “I am truly honoured to accept this award, which I do on behalf of everyone at Investcorp. These achievements have been made possible by the commitment, skills and professionalism of all our people, working together over the past 30 years. I would also like to pay tribute to the members of the Board of Directors for their guidance as well as to our Strategic Partnership Group and our shareholders and clients. The loyalty and support of all these groups from the early days have been critical to our success.
“Today, I am proud to say that Investcorp has emerged as a world-class institution and a champion for our region. With a talented management team in place, we believe we are poised for steady growth in the years ahead, both internationally and here in the region through the planned opening of new offices,” Kirdar added.
The Award for Outstanding Contribution to Financial Services in the Middle East is the only award given by Euromoney to an individual each year.
