Thomas Shandell is the Head of US Collateralized Loan Obligations and Broadly Syndicated Loans at Investcorp Credit Management. Thomas oversees the USD denominated CLO’s and other leveraged loan and CLO tranche investment vehicles managed by Investcorp, serves on the firm’s Investment Committee and leads the US Broadly Syndicated Loan business which accounts for approximately 25% of Investcorp’ s AUM. Thomas joined Investcorp in January of 2023 when the firm acquired Marble Point Credit Management where he was Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer having co-founded Marble Point with Eagle Point Credit Management in early 2016. Prior to co-founding Marble Point, Thomas was a founding partner of GoldenTree Asset Management (“GoldenTree”) in 2000 and co-head of the business that managed the firm’s CLOs and separately managed accounts focused on leveraged loans.

Prior to joining GoldenTree, Thomas was at Bear Stearns for 16 years. As a Senior Managing Director in the firm’s High Yield Bond Department, he covered companies in a variety of industries and was a member of the Institutional Investor All-America Fixed-Income Research Poll team of gaming analysts for the five years prior to his leaving the firm, most recently in the second team position. He spent his first eight years at Bear Stearns as an investment banker in the Corporate Finance Department before joining the High Yield Bond Department in 1992.

Thomas received a B.S. from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1982 and an M.B.A. from Columbia University in 1984.
