    Gary Appel joined Investcorp in 2013 as Vice Chairman of Corporate Investment-North America.

    Gary retired in 2012 as Vice Chairman of Castle Harlan, Inc. Prior to that he was Vice Chairman of Glencoe Capital, Ltd. In the late 1990's he served as a Senior Managing Director of Bear Stearns. For the 17 years prior to that he was with Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, Inc. serving as a Managing Director and a founding partner of DLJ Merchant Banking. He was a member of DLJ Merchant Banking's Board of Directors and its Investment Committee.

    Gary currently serves on the board of directors of  Optiv, Inc. Polyconcept Investment B.V., Randall-Reilly, LLC and totes»ISOTONER Corporation.  He also serves as an Executive in Residence of the Columbia University Graduate School of Business and as a member of the Advisory Board of its Private Equity Program.

    Gary earned his BA with honors from Vassar College and his MBA from Columbia University.

    Klaus Martin Bukenberger joined Investcorp as an Advisory Director to the European corporate invesmtent team in 2008. Klaus began his career in the machinery industry in Baden-Wurttemberg where he gained experience in the areas of controlling and finance.

    He is former Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board of BBS Kraftfahrzeugtechnik AG and former CEO of Homag AG. He is still heavily involved in this latter business and has been a Supervisory Board Member since 2006. He is currently chairman of the supervisory board of Sick AG and a member of the supervisory board of Homag Group AG, chairman of the advisory board of Carl Mahr GmbH & Co KG and member of the advisory boards of Rutronik GmbH and Deutsche Bank AG.

    Brian Dickie became an Advisory Director to the private equity team in 2010.  Prior to that, Brian had been a member of the European private equity team since 2003. 

    Brian joined Investcorp from TXU Energy in Dallas, Texas, where he had been president of the company's North American Group since 1999.  Before then, Brian was chief operating officer at Booz-Allen & Hamilton, an international strategic consultancy where he worked for 17 years and where he had also been managing partner of the company's Asia Pacific, Japan and Middle East region.

    Brian currently serves as chairman or non-executive director of several companies in Europe and the Middle East.

    Brian holds an MA in English from Oxford University and an MBA from Harvard.

    Brendan began his career as a consumer marketer with Unilever and has had an extensive career across Europe, the USA and Africa, primarily in the non-alcoholic beverage industry. In a ten year career with The Coca-Cola Company Brendan served in various strategic marketing roles before becoming President of the Africa Division and then subsequently President of the Italy & Alpine Division. Brendan is currently the CEO and Chairman of the Board of Froosh AB, the market leader in the fast-growing Scandinavian market for fruit smoothies.

    Brendan has a degree in Politics, Philosophy & Economics from Oxford University and an MBA from INSEAD. He speaks fluent French and Italian and currently lives in Copenhagen, Denmark.

    Dick Jalkut joined Investcorp as an Advisory Director to the North American corporate investment team in 2002.

    Dick is a self-made telecommunications executive with over 30 years of experience in the telecom sector with large structured situations and entrepreneurial opportunities. After completing his undergraduate degree in Economics at Boston College, he moved through a number of line and staff chairs at New England Telephone, New York Telephone and the combined Nynex complex. He advanced to become the President and Group Executive for Nynex Telecommunications, a fully-integrated $13 billion business with $30 billion in assets and 16.5 million customers.

    Dick is currently President and CEO of TelePacific, a portfolio company headquartered in Los Angeles. He also serves on the Advisory Board of the American Museum of Natural History, the New York City Partnership, IKON Office Solutions, Covad, Birch Telecom, HSBC and ECI.

    Joan Julià Dinarès joined Investcorp as an Advisory Director in 2014. He has 25 years of top level executive experience in different industries with a global exposure. Joan has been a Managing Partner at S&E Partners since 2006 and is a Board Member for several companies as well as CEO for Parkare.

    Joan holds a Bachelors and Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) from ESADE, Barcelona. He also attended the Accelerated Development Program at the London Business School.

    Jacquie Lenart became an Advisory Director to our corporate investment team in 2014. Jacquie is a results-driven marketing leader with a unique mix of global, multi-channel, consumer packaged goods, apparel, luxury brand and retail marketing experience. She spent nine years in executive marketing roles within Gap Inc. and before that, eight years with The Campbell Soup Company both in the US and Australia. Jacquie works alongside companies to develop brand strategy, drive change, and mobilize teams around execution and results. She has experience working in established businesses as well as advising early stage start-ups. She is widely recognized for building and motivating high-performance teams, and for championing innovation.

    Jacquie holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Suma Cum Laude) from The University of New South Wales and currently resides in San Francisco.

    Guy Leymarie joined Investcorp as an Advisory Director in 2014. He is the founder to AnimA Associates, based in Tokyo. Prior to this Guy served as CEO of De Beers Diamond Jewellers and Cartier International. He has a wealth of experience in luxury retail and jewelry, having held numerous management responsibilities including CEO of Dunhill. He serves as a Director of Georg Jensen.

    Guy holds a post graduate degree from Institut d'Etudes politiques de Paris.

    Martin Maleska joined Investcorp as an Advisory Director to the North American corporate investment team in 2006 after having been affiliated with the group since 2004. Martin has 30 years of publishing and media experience. He has been Senior Vice president, Group Executive in charge of Professional Publishing at Macmillan Inc., President of International and Professional Publishing at Simon & Schuster, and Chief Executive Officer of the Business Information Group at Primedia Inc.

    Martin holds an MBA in Finance from the New York University Stern School of Business and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Fordham University. He is a former Adjunct Instructor at the New York University School of Professional and Continuing Education as well as previously served on the board of Berlitz International and the Katherine Gibbs Secretarial Schools as well as Key Educational Publishers.

    Martin has extensive board experience for both public and private companies. He currently sits on the Board of Directors of Randall-Reilly Publishing Company and Veritext. Outside of Investcorp's portfolio companies, he is on the Board of Directors of Executive Networks, BizBash Inc. and CristoRey High School. Martin is also on ProPublica's Business Advisory Council.

    Before joining Investcorp in 1999, Charles Marquis spent 31 years with the law firm Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher and was a member of its executive committee for the final six years. In addition to general corporate work, he specializes in mergers and acquisitions, securities transactions and floatations. As the lead corporate lawyer for Investcorp since its inception, he has advised the Firm on almost every corporate investment transaction it has conducted in North America to date. He has also been a board member of Tiffany & Co. since 1984.

    Charles holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Michigan Law School and a BA from Stanford University, California.

    Woody McGee became an Advisory Director to our corporate investment team in 2014.

    Mr. McGee served as the President and CEO of FleetPride, the largest independent distributor of heavy-duty parts in the US prior to its sale to TPG in December 2012. Prior to joining FleetPride, Mr. McGee was President and CEO of Propex Inc.

    His background includes senior management positions at Litton Industries, Western Atlas Inc., H K Systems, Telxon Corporation and several private equity-backed businesses as well as Chief Restucturing Officer for a number of turnaround engagements. Mr. McGee has served on both private and public boards of directors as a member of the Audit Committee, Chairman of the Audit Committee, member of the Compensation Committee and Chairman of the Board. Mr. McGee has a 45-year track record of success in industries such as heavy manufacturing, electronics, telecommunications, industrial automation, light manufacturing, security, wireless mobile computing/software, textile/geo-synthetic fibers and retail consumer products.

    Angelo Messina joined Investcorp as an Advisory Director to the North American corporate investment team in 2015.  Angelo is a lawyer and certified public accountant who recently retired from United Technologies Corporation after serving in various senior legal, financial and strategic leadership positions. Most recently he served as Vice President for Global Financial Services leading UTC Corporate finance’s initiatives to increase overall effectiveness and reduce costs. Prior to that, he served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Otis Elevator Company responsible for overseeing worldwide financial operations.

    Angelo holds a Master's Degree in Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a Law Degree from the University of Connecticut, and a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Central Connecticut State University, magna cum laude.

    Angelo is a director of Hospital for Special Care in Connecticut.  Before that, he served as a director of Zardoya Otis Elevator in Spain, a Madrid listed company, and as a Trustee for the Connecticut Sate University System.

    Federico Minoli has more than 30 years’ experience in leading businesses for global private equity funds. Between 1996 and 2007 he was CEO & Chairman of Ducati Motor Holding S.p.A., a leading manufacturer of high performance sports motorcycles. In his career he has covered the position of Chairman for a number of companies across various industries as well as CEO of Bally International AG, World Wide VP Marketing of Playtex International, General Manager of Benetton USA, consultant for McKinsey and partner of Bain & Co.

    Federico is currently Chairman of Dainese SpA and POC Sweden AB, on the Advisory Board of 9Ren and Ca’ Foscari Business School, Venice and co-owner of Deus Ex-Machina in Italy.

    He also is an occasional lecturer at Harvard Business School and Tuck School of Business.

    Savio Tung has recently retired as the Chief Investment Officer of Investcorp and currently serves as the Senior Advisor to the Executive Chairman. Before joining Investcorp in 1984, Savio Tung was a senior banker at Chase Manhattan Bank and worked in its offices in New York, Bahrain, Abu Dhabi and London. He was also a key executive in establishing Chase's Bahrain office and marketing presence in the Gulf.

    Savio holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from Columbia University. He is a trustee emeritus of Columbia University and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. Savio is also an independent non-executive director of Bank of China, Hong Kong Limited and a board member of Tech Data Corporation (NASDAQ: TECD).

    Philip Walters joined Investcorp as an Advisory Director in 2014. He has nearly forty years' experience of the global educational market place.

    Philip is currently Chairman of the GL Education Group and Chair of the independent educational publisher, Rising Stars. He is also a non-executive Director of Encyclopaedia Britannica (London), of Nelson Croom, the leading supplier of online training and assessment for UK professional bodies, Scottish Book Source, the leading book distributor for Scottish publishers, and CABI, a not-for-profit international organization that improves lives by solving problems in agriculture and the environment. Philip was formerly Chief Executive of Hodder Education, the second largest secondary school publisher in the UK. He was awarded an MBE in 2010 for services to educational publishing.
