    Empire Mountain Village

    In July 2003, Investcorp acquired 17.4 acres of mountainside land adjacent to the renowned Deer Valley Ski Resort in Park City, Utah, for the purpose of building approximately 100 luxury, ski-in/ski-out homes, townhomes and condominium units.

    The sale of this property was completed in September 2009.

    A premier golf and residential resort community 17 miles south east of downtown Las Vegas. The investment was initiated in 2002 and, upon completion, will include over 3,600 residential dwellings, five hotels, five golf courses, and the Mediterranean-themed MonteLago Village.

    In 1997, Investcorp formed a hotel management company known as Pacifica Lodging Group in joint venture with Santa Barbara, California-based Pacifica Hospitality Advisors. Pacifica Lodging Group subsequently provided hotel management for the assets in both the Pacifica Hotels Portfolio that was acquired in 1997 and later the California Hotels Portfolio.

    The Bravern

    In June 2007, Investcorp invested in the development of a mixed-use development project that now consists of:

    • A 12-story office building containing 251,547 sq. ft.
    • A 22-story office building containing 498,453 sq. ft.
    • Two 29-story residential condominium towers containing 560,203 sq. ft. in 456 units
    • 305,543 sq. ft of open-air retail and restaurant space

    The base of the office and residential towers will be anchored by a 124,637 sq. ft. department-store building.

    The office buildings were successfully sold in September 2010. The retail and restaurant component was successfuly sold in March 2012, and the residential component was sold in October 2013.

    The Welsh Companies

    In 1999, Investcorp acquired a joint venture interest in the Welsh Companies, a full-service real estate company based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This investment was made to both capitalize on the growth potential of a market leading real estate services firm and provide a platform for a number of specific asset purchases that were subsequently made by Investcorp.

    In August 2004, Investcorp acquired 3.9 acres of ocean-front property in South Beach, Miami. In June 2009 the W South Beach Hotel opened as a world-class 409 condo-hotel with units ranging in size from 556 to 3,000 sq. ft, all of which have ocean views and generous outdoor space.

    This investment was sold in January 2012.
